Mainland Aloha Festivals

There are a number of Aloha Festivals and Pacific Islander Festivals on the mainland that offer opportunities for artists to sell their work.

Participating in these festivals requires a budget for the following:

  • Application fees
  • Booth fee if accepted into the festival
  • Travel expenses (transportation and accommodations)
  • Fees for additional cargo for your art
  • A tent (some festivals rent tents)

Participating in these festivals on the mainland can be costly, but can also be potentially profitable and rewarding and provide an opportunity to expand your reach beyond Hawaii. These festivals bring visitors who are expats of the Hawaiian and Pacific islands, frequent visitors to Hawaii, as well as people interested in the Hawaiian and Pacific Islander cultures. Vendors are diverse and often there is little to no competition for artists.
